Thousand Times Yes

"Thousand Times Yes is a philosophical, haunting and poetic investigation of the limits and possibilities of language, communication, space and the body. The performance challenges the concept of opera, its aesthetics and hierarchical tradition. By telling a story of companionship and coexistence, Thousand Times Yes makes space for alternative futures."

Noga Projects created a stage lighting concept which could shift the focus from the harsh outside world to the comforting micro world within. The design was developed to fit three different performance venues in Sweden, Denmark & Finland.

Thousand Times Yes is a collaboration between artists Marja Ahti (SE/FI), Jenny Kalliokulju (SE) and Essi Kausalainen (FI).
